Welcome to St John’s Primary School!

St John’s Primary, Mullumbimby, has a rich history of providing students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with a faith-centred, quality education.

We are a vibrant and creative learning community, focused on enabling students to achieve their individual potential. St John’s Primary continues to foster the Catholic tradition of wide community involvement through celebrating the unique cultural and spiritual identity of each individual student.

We foster the leadership, responsibility, service and dignity within the individual enabling students to develop the skills necessary to grow and achieve their full potential. We strive to inspire creative and curious learners to achieve the fullness of life.

I encourage you to view our 2025 Annual Strategic Plan.

As a parent of a student at St John’s Primary School in Mullumbimby, I couldn’t be happier with the experience my daughter has had. The school’s small size has allowed her to actively participate in various activities, from swimming and athletics to school leadership. The close-knit environment and smaller classes have provided her with the attention and care she needs to thrive. Although we are not Catholic, the opportunity for her to explore her own spirituality in a gentle way, along with the school’s masses and rituals, adds another level of nourishment and specialness. This has been the perfect transition from primary to high school. Thank you to everyone who has supported her and our family! ~ Barbara

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge that our school resides on the Lands of the Bundjalung Nation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians who have walked and cared for this land for thousands of years and their descendants who maintain these spiritual connections and traditions.

We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future leaders.

We reflect on the millions of footprints that travelled the Dreaming pathways and continue to walk this land today. The Land we are on now, the land we live, work, breathe, eat and sleep: always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

We walk alongside the custodians of this beautiful country, Australia, as we seek Voice, Treaty and Truth.
